Turkish delight...

Ah, the weather is beautiful! Although I do have a tendancy to get over-excited about summer arriving early every year, and then get all disappointed when I remember that I live in Swansea and that it will rain from May onwards! I took Miles to the park this morning to charge around with his best friend from school and then took advantage of the fact he was exhausted to make some more jewellery while he watched "Megamind"! The lovely bright beads & anitque tone chain made me think of the Middle East, and I do rather fancy keeping it for myself... but the other half with confirm I have more than enough jewellery already!

I made quite a few things this afternoon in the end.... check out the rest on my facebook page here

Commissions...

Following a friend's request to make a long dangly necklace to match a charm bracelet she bought from me, I came up with one of these! And then I had another order today for a blue one, so made a few more as well! All I need to do now is decide what colour I'm keeping for myself! If anyone fancies one (or anything else!), contact me on facebook or email me - katereilly@hotmail.co.uk xx

Mother's Day!

It's Mother's Day, and I managed to get a picture of Miles & I without him gurning! (A miracle, I assure you!)
We visited The Vintage Tea Party Company shop in Carmarthen yesterday, after seeing them on facebook - Miles bought me this fabulous owl for my Mothers Day present which will be living on my bed - he's gorgeous! A visit to the shop is highly recommended! As is a visit to the Retro clothes shop opposite - RoRo Retro - where I bought a lovely blue dress for £5!

Oh what beautiful shoes!!!

I have bought some beautiful shoes, oh yes I have! And they're not even from ebay! For the first time in months (years?) I have bought something from a real life shop (you can buy them here)! Here is one showing itself off on my duvet...
And so of course if I am to wear them I will need to buy a dress too... and get a bag... and make some jewellery. Luckily stage 3 wass completed this afternoon while Miles was in the bath!

I went with the greens, pinks & purples from the shoes. Here is the matching bracelet...
And here is the necklace draped provocatively over the shoe, with the bracelet cwtching in to the side...
 Lovely!
